Not Dickens, and not one carol, but a whole concert! On Thursday evening, 10th December, the choir entertained a good crowd in the delightful surroundings of the main auditorium of Newport’s Riverfront Theatre.

Phylip Harries, taking a break from the pantomime, compered the program and played the flute in a duet with Christopher Denton, while Newport soprano Stephanie Benavente sang three songs in each half of the show. Christopher Barton led the choir with his usual vigour, ably supported by pianist Christopher Denton, but the star of the show was the CHOIR. They were simply magnificent. Those who weren’t there missed a treat! A great start to Christmas!
