The prize for most improved chorister was won by Ieuan Burridge-Bryant and the cup for best attendance was won (for the second year in succession) by Oliver Barton.

The prize for most improved chorister was shared between Joshua Briggs, Matthew Maher and Ben Metcalf and the cup for best attendance was won by Robert Burnet.


Andrew Hayman achieved a Distinction in his Grade VIII organ, and James Taylor achieved a Distinction in his Grade VIII piano; his mark of 142 was the highest in any Grade VIII exam in Gwent in 2007, winning him the Gwent Foundation Prize.


Huw Jones moved from treble to alto and James Taylor moved from tenor to alto. We welcomed Mr John Granger who joined the choir as a bass and Mr Chris Denton as our new Assistant Organist, succeeding Mr Ronny Krippner who left to pursue his teaching career.

Christopher Barton was awarded the honorary Fellowship of the Guild of Church Musicians by Archbishop Rowan at a service at Lambeth Palace

Andrew moved from alto to tenor and Jason moved from treble to alto

Mr George Conn left the choir, emigrating to France

We welcomed Mr Ronny Krippner as our new Assistant Organist
